Enjoying the Journey.

One Story at a Time.

With a background in education, I'm dedicated to creating environments that spark curiosity.

My professional journey spans over a decade in sales operations, creative development, and marketing. Currently, I am the Sales Enablement Specialist for Trane Technologies - a global leader in building sustainable climate solutions in the heating & air industry.

I keep the good times rolling as the Marketing Operations Manager for Lost Isle, recently named as one of the Top 50 Restaurants in the US by the New York Times.

In 2014, while working for the U.S. Department of Defense and traveling to over 25 countries, I gained valuable insights into the power of cross-cultural relationships and the importance of effective communication strategies.

I’m always open to new perspectives, new challenges, and great conversations. Being known as a natural connecter, I’d like to bring a unique perspective, and a diverse skill set to help your business thrive.

Maggie’s Bio

As a lifelong learner, I think curiosity is my superpower.

I was born in Nashville and raised in Georgia just outside of Atlanta.

My mother’s Southern roots combined with my dad’s Scottish heritage as a first-generation American instilled a love of hospitality & history in me at an early age. I spent my summers at Rockbrook Camp for Girls in the Appalachian Mountains of Western North Carolina. In those mountains, I learned how to be independent, storytelling, & imagine what life was like deep in those Balsam groves as I explored the mountains.

Looking back at my childhood, I have always drawn inspiration from the natural world.

After graduating with a degree in Public Health Education from Armstrong Atlantic State University in Savannah, GA my wanderlust kicked in. Instead of walking in my cap & gown, I boarded a plane to Costa Rica where I would spend the next 3 months backpacking and volunteering at an orphanage + local library offering public health education and afterschool tutoring.

In 2013, I accepted a job with the Department of Defense as a hospitality coordinator for the Edelweiss Lodge & Resort located in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Germany. With curiosity as my compass, I traveled to beautiful towns and engaged in compelling conversations with locals in Morrocco, Gibraltar, Austria, Spain, Thailand, Greece, and Scotland.

I moved to Charleston, SC in 2014 where I worked for the SC Health Department on the front lines of Disease Intervention & HIV Prevention Program. I then spent the last decade navigating the ebbs and flows of a changing job market, working in the public & private sectors including non-profits at MUSC, health tech startups, e-commerce SaaS channel sales, and the beverage industry.

An entrepreneur at heart, my husband and I took on our most recent venture, Lost Isle Restaurant & Bar. I currently serve as the Sales Enablement Specialist for Trane Technologies - a leader in the global heating & air sustainability space.

Fast forward to today, the world feels….different. Or perhaps I feel different in the evolving world.

I found myself walking by my great-great aunts’ house in downtown Charleston more often. Elizabeth O'Neill Verner was an artist, author, lecturer, and preservationist who was one of the leaders of the Charleston Renaissance. This renewed interest in my family history led me to some introspective conversations with myself. My friends call me ‘The Connector’ since I love connecting people to new experiences. I’m ready to connect my skills to the city I call home.

  • Pricing is based on both the project's scope and your desired timeline. I promise fair rates and will always require your approval before we begin.

  • Timelines depend on the project, but I generally dedicate three to six months to each client, with the possibility of an extension based on my availability. The goal is to create a scalable framework that is yours post-offboarding.
